My advertisement

0

Hi guys,

in our last Englisch lessons we were talking about the topic advertisment and that's the reason, why I describe the following ad.

The ad  contains a cute dog and back seats of a car. It tries to convey the message that the dog didn't use the seatbelt, so he was pushed into the backseats.
The picture makes use of only a little slogan, and a funny picture. It also uses mainly dark colours. In my opinion the producer makes this advertisment for introducing the new Black Series beamer M5.
The ad tries to catch the attention with the help of a cute dog. My personal reaction to the ad is, if this really happen once a person is driving this beamer, i would be very scared.

local election 2015 in Bad Kreuzen

0

Hi guys,

I live in Bad Kreuzen, a small town in Austria and on the 27th September 2015 the local election took place. I thought you might be interested in the result, because politics applies to everybody.
Bad Kreuzen has about 2,400 inhabitants, 1,785 people of these inhabitants are allowed to vote. The participation is at 82.9 %, so about 1479 inhabitants went to the election.

The Austrian People's Party won the election with 75.9 %, so they get the absolute majority and are allowed to govern alone. The Freedom Party came in second, this is really surprising, because in the last elections (2009,2003), the Social Democrat's always came in second. This year the Freedom Party won the race of the second place with 16.9 % for the first time and the Social Democrat's came in third with 7,2 %.

This means, that the Austrian People's Party get 20 seats in the local council, the Freedom Party get 4 seats and die Social Democrat's get 1 seat.

What do you think about this result? Write a comment!

Have a nice week

Letter to the editor

2

Dear Sir,

In our last English lesson we have read Mr. Ross's article, which is called "Voting At 16", in the newspaper "Voices of the UK".

Basically what it says is, that voting at the age of 16 is too early. The editor mean, that young people are not in the position to have knowledge about the government. You told us in your article about your daughter, who isn't interested in politics and you say, that every teenager is like your daughter, which means they aren't able to vote the government.

I disagree with you. I think, voting at the age of 16 is a good chance, that teenagers are able to say there opinion about the government. We all know that we teenager are the future and so it is very important, that we have the chance to vote, also if some teenagers aren't interested in politics.

The Upper Austrian statehouse

0

Hi guys,

on the 21 Mai 2015 our class visited the Upper Austrian statehouse. We and our parallel class listened to the politicians, who had a Landtags session. The main topics were, a combined road and rail ticket for whole Austria and a discussion between the MPs of the FPÖ and the MPs of the ÖVP.

What interested me most, was the discussion between the two parties. Basically what the discussion talked about, was the current immigrant's situation in Austria.

The ÖVP has the idea to accommodate the immigrants in Austrian Armed Forces barracks. The FPÖ mean instead, that this is no solution, because if immigrants come to Austria, they always have a reason. The reason, which is often the case, is war in their home country.

The FPÖ mean, this cannot be ask to immigrants. So the FPÖ said this isn't acceptable. If somebody flees from a war, you cannot put this immigrant into military barracks.

In my opinion this is not true, because the immigrants should be happy to stay in Austria. If they don't accept this, they should go back in their home country. They should be happy with the things, they get.

General Election of the UK on 7 May 2015

0

Hi guys,

a few days ago during the English lesson, we were talking about the general election of 2015 in the UK. For this reason, I have informed myself about the result and the parties.

On the 7 May 2015 was the election of the 56th parliament of the United Kingdom. The term general election in the United Kingdom often refers to the elections held on the same day in all constituencies of their Members of Parliament (MPs) to the House of Commons. Under the terms of the Fixed-term Parliaments Act 2011, the period between one general election and the next is fixed at 5 years, unless the Commons passes a motion of no confidence in the Government sooner than that, or if the House of Commons, with the support of at least two thirds of its members, resolves that a general election should take place sooner.

One of the parties in the UK is the Conservative Party, officially the Conservative and Unionist Party, is a centre-right political party. It currently stands as the majority party in the House of Commons, after winning 331 seats in the 2015 general elections. Before the dissolution of the previous parliament, it was the largest single party with 303 Members of Parliament, and governed under a coalition with the Liberal Democrats. At the time of the May 2015 election, it was the largest party in local government with 8,296 councillors and the largest party in the House of Commons with 331 seats of the possible 650.

The most important Ministers in the cabinet of ministers are David Cameron. David Cameron is Prime Minister, First Lord of the Treasury and Minister for the Civil Service. The prime minister has the directive competence within the government, appoints the members of his cabinet, co-ordinates her work and those of her ministries, takes part in ceremonial occasions, is the "face" of the government in the United Kingdom and outside.

This is the absolute result. The numbers are the seats in the houses of commons.

Mohammed Morsi is jailed

0

Hi guys!

A few days ago, I read an article on a website called "BBC online" and it talked about
the former Egyptian president Morsi, who has been jailed for 20 years. I want you to know more about it, so I give you a short press review about the article.

Mohammed Morsi was the first free elected president in Egypt. He was the successor of Hosni Mubarak.

Basically it says, that Morsi has been jailed for 20 years, because he has ordered to arrest and torture protesters during his tenure. He has been president of Egypt for 1 year from June 30th, 2012 till July 3rd, 2013.

It has been the first conviction since the end of his tenure. He has been deposed by the military in July 2013. Since then, the authorities have banned his Muslim Brotherhood movement and arrested thousands of his supporters. Morsi and 14 other Brotherhood figures escaped a more serious charge of inciting the killing of protesters, which could have carried the death sentence.
Most of the other defendants were also given 20-year prison sentences. Morsi's legal team have said they will appeal.

In my opinion, is this decision equitable, because every criminal deserves his punishment. There is always a reason, why a human isn't longer president of a country. I'm anyway a fan of democracy, that's why I think a dictatorship shouldn't exist anymore.

Hofkirchen and Fair Trade

0

Hello guys!

A few days ago, I was reading an article in the newspaper called "OÖNachrichten" and it talked about the commune Hofkirchen, which wants to turn into faire-trade-commune. I want you to know m
ore about it, so I give you a short press review about the article.
Hofkirchen is a municipality in the district of Rohrbach in the Austrian state of Upper Austria. It has about 1500 inhabitants.

Basically it says, that the local government has decided to turn into a fair-trade-commune. That means, that they only buy things, which have the fair trade label on their packaging. To persuade the inhabitants of the commune, the mayor organized a breakfast with fair trade products.
The mayor has the idea to put the following events under the motto "Fairtrade". Furthermore he pleased his inhabitants and entrepreneurs to buy fair-trade-products only. I couldn't find a date, which determine the exact moment of the implementation, but I think it would be happen in the following weeks, that the commune gets absolutely a fair-trade-commune.

In my opinion is this a step in the right way. But it does not last only one commune buy fair trade products. We all have to take more care of the people, who don't have as much as we have. If the only way is to help, if we buy fair trade products, we all should do this. I know, that this cannot h
appen till tomorrow, but step by step everybody can help. If everybody think as the same way as the commune Hofkirchen does, we could make the world a better place.

What do you think about the topic "fair-trade-products"?
Write it in the comments!

HAPPY EASTER to you and your family. Enjoy the holidays!
